PLAYER PLOTS & EVENTS

REGARDING PLAYER PLOTS
This page is for two types of activity: informing us of player plots which are large enough to impact the cityscape in some way (ie; not only limited to a small group of characters), and for suggesting ideas for upcoming events for all characters to take part in. It is our goal to provide players with a wide variety of events and plots, with large scale events like worldbuilding and discovery, the developing political scene in Konryu, and smaller and more localized plots like happenings in Keeliai.

Our intention, metaplot allowing, is to have landfalls approximately every four to six months, balanced with smaller mini-events in between. Player plots will of course be added into that mix, with whatever dates work best for those coordinating it, save where it drastically clashes with any current event. We'll always try to work with any suggestions for timing.

Additionally, the steps to submit an event suggestion are detailed at the bottom of this page. Player-run events are welcomed, on the grounds that anything impacting more than a handful of player characters is run past the mods for approval via the below directions.

WANT TO SUGGEST AN EVENT?
Player-run event suggestions are welcomed here at Tu Shanshu! Please note that these are different from the plot developments that are part of the Reward Points system. Those are for metaplot related discoveries, whereas player plots here have no AC points cost.

Any event that you submit and that is approved by the mods then becomes your responsibility to facilitate during the time period assigned at the time of approval. The key duty is to provide an OOC planning post with details a few days prior to the event, then start and end OOC posts.

To suggest an event, copy and complete the below form and post it in a comment on this page. The mods will discuss the details and get back to you regarding your idea.

Player Name: Seal

Instigating Character/Incident: Following on the announcement of the Foreigner-run police force, and the events laid out in the June Itinerary. Includes Pepper Potts, Valdis, and Gene Khan; tangentially the other Foreigners involved in the police force.

Event Outline: There’s a need for cooperation and coordination with Keeliai as a whole, particularly those groups that have a lot of existing influence and existing investigative resources. Making an open invitation to Keeliai to meet at the Courtyard of Public Opinion, Pepper would like to propose a potential system to provide structure and oversight to the police force(s) and begin to lay the groundwork for a government truly defined by citizenship. Obviously, input from others is welcome. The idea she plans to propose are two different council or committee groups:

The first group would be tasked with developing the outline of a new government - drafting something like a charter or constitution to define how the government itself ought to operate in broad strokes based on input from historical laws and from the general public. The second group would be something like a judicial branch, enforcing what existing laws they have on record (equal trials); and giving oversight to the police force while opening the floor to coordinating with other investigative groups.

Each group would have 2 representatives from each sector of the city, ideally who do not have significant ties or influence within any one Family or gang; and 1 Foreigner representative. Thus each council would have 15 people. The council positions would be filled by volunteers, or if there are too many people interested, by a short election process within each sector.

Areas Affected: All of Keeliai
Long-Term Impact:
Oversight provided for the Foreigner-run police force
Coordination with other investigative groups
Lays the groundwork for actual governmental structure with equal representation, defined largely by the kedan rather than the Foreigners
Taxes (oh dear)
Laws enforced more equally with less bias due to family and gang ties

Suggested Duration & Dates: Start circa July 1st (or first week of July, post July 4th maybe?) for the Courtyard event, then ongoing
